At approximately 1845 hours, the MTVFD was dispatched to the area of Route 10 and Old Tabor Road for the odor of gas. Upon arrival Chief Smith determined that the smell was coming from the gas box in the ground and immediately requested New Jersey Natural Gas to respond. The area in which the odor could be smelled was minimal so there was no need for any evacuations or shut downs. Once NJNG arrived, they secured the area no longer needed our assitance.
